As the year comes to a close, businesses are working to best prepare themselves for 2022. From budget planning to reviewing 2021 services and so on, we are all looking at how to best set ourselves up for success in the new year.

One of the best ways to prepare your ASC as you welcome the new year? By having a clear view of where things stand within your center’s coding! At in2itive, we strongly suggest auditing a minimum of once a year; what better time to start than now?

By performing a Coding Audit before 2021 is over, you will gain the best insight into the health of your center’s coding. Get ahead of the curve by finding pain points and areas needing improvement, then strategize on how to implement changes as you work your way through 2022.

At in2itive, our number one goal is to help you capture all the revenue owed to your center, and auditing is a great way to get the ball rolling! Our team makes coding audits simple, quick and affordable. First, you tell us how many cases you want audited (we recommend 5% of your total case volume). Next, our skilled in2itive coders will randomly select the appropriate number of cases from your schedule. Then, we’ll collect all the documentation you have on file for the case and put our coders to work. They will re-code your cases, payer blind and publish a report on our initial findings, case by case.

Once the auditing is complete, we will begin the consultative rebuttal process; we find this step is often the most educational, so we encourage you to include your coders in the meeting. Once the rebuttal process is complete, we’ll publish a peer-reviewed final report for your records.

You’ll find our auditing team loves ASC billing, and they’re happy to share their knowledge and experience with your center.
